Our Story

Radio Bute came alive when a core group of community minded volunteers saw a gap in the market for an inclusive community radio on our beautiful Isle of Bute.

We wanted to build a station that listens to the community and a station that works and responds to the community. A station that not only plays funky music but a station that has a heartbeat.

Here we are with our station… we hope you will like what we are creating just for you, to have fun and listen to online.

Community Radio

We are a Community radio station:

• We are run on a not-for-profit basis
• We will promote volunteers & volunteering
• We are run by the community for the community
• We will listen to the community and give it a voice
• We are based on the Isle of Bute but can be heard worldwide over the net
